Applicants for the following visas must meet the English Language Requirements:-
- Business Owner (Provisional)
- Senior Executive (Provisional)
- Investor (Provisional)
It is a requirement that applicants for these visas have vocational English. To satisfy this requirement, you must have a reasonable command of the English language. You must be able to read, write, understand and speak English well enough to communicate effectively for most purposes and in your field of business.
To evidence that you meet this requirement you must:-
- Provide evidence that you are a native English speaker; or
- Undertake the International English Testing System (IELTS) test.
- IELTS test requirements
- You only need to take the general training test (not the academic test).
- You need to achieve a band score of at least 5, from a maximum of 9, for all four components of the test (speaking, reading, listening and writing)
These visa applicants are not required to satisfy a vocational level of English:-
- State/Territory sponsored Business Owner (provisional)
- State/Territory sponsored Senior Executive (provisional)
- State/Territory sponsored Investor (provisional)
- Business talent Applicants
- All the Residence applicants: Business Owner, Investor, and state sponsored categories of the Residence applications.
